Our Periodical
- Mérleg (Balance) is a Hungarian digest, which publishes mainly translations of articles and book reviews. Its basic interest is the possible meeting point of theology, religious studies, philosophy, arts, social and natural sciences. There are four issues a year »
- Mérleg assorts essays and critics from scientific publications, books, journals and newspapers from abroad. Its aim is to promote up-to-date intellectual orientation in order to acquire a common point-of-view of nowadays’ intellectual positions and biblically-rooted self-reflection through the promotion of a dialogue between different aproaches, and a critical reconsideration of arguments. - Mérleg is an independent forum which originates from the widely-interpreted ecumenical perspectives of Catholic tradition.

Our Website
- is more and less than the printed journal. More, since it prepares fresh informations to its visitors and make an easier access to background information of Mérleg topics. The important links suggest a cruise to other periodicals, journals, publishing houses and high-level blogs.
- Among the suggested materials we offer articles in Hungarian and in foreign languages. At the same time, our website is less than a kind of electronic version of our journal. Beginning with the issue of 1996/4, you can reach to some of our published essays, book reviews, etc. (Most of these materials are working files of the editorial and do not necessarily the same as the published ones.) We hope that in the future we will have the privilege to publish some new essays written only with the purpose of electronic publication for the Mérleg website. By doing so, we intend to open our forum to a dialogue.
